2004 Summer League Update:

Congratulations to the Broward Metz, who claimed the Summer League Championship with a 6 - 2 win over the Miami Blue Jays.  The Metz, who finished the season with a 6 - 1 record, rode their ace, Julio Siberio, who ran his record to 6 - 1 to lead the charge.  On offense, it was Terry Weech (.667) and TJ Tejero (.583) manhandling the opposition.  Broward Metz coach, PC Cabrera says, " Look out! We will be back next year with the same team!".

Finalists, Miami Blue Jays, who were the odds-on favorites to win the Summer League, suffered their first and only defeat of the Summer Season.  Ouch......but that's baseball.  Jays coach Carlos Rodriguez says "Go figure".
